Another issue, raised by the Paul Kelso article in the previous post, was how the full debt wasn’t loaded onto the club last January. We mentioned this in the ‘Debt & Lies’ article:

The report we were referring to was the following in the Daily Mail:

That the Chief Sports Writer of a respectable broadsheet should openly refer to this “whitewash clause”: well we hope it would satisfy those who believe that the £105m was some form of altruistic gesture.
